About the Award Winners
Richard Dempsey, ALC, has over twenty years of real estate experience in agricultural and acreage properties that includes sales and appraisal work throughout Florida. He is past president of the Lakeland Association of REALTORS® and former Chairman of the Lakeland Association of REALTORS® Commercial Investment Division. He has served on committees at the Coldwell Banker Commercial corporate level. Richard has received numerous industry awards for outstanding sales in real estate, including top 25 worldwide among all associates in the Coldwell Banker Commercial (CBC) affiliate network and top-two rank in the region for sales performance by FGCAR (Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors), among others.
David Goodlett is Vice President of Governmental Affairs at Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative, located in Belle Glade, Florida. As a real estate associate, he specializes in all types of farmland, production agriculture, ranchlands, conservation easements, and has considerable experience with muck lands, organic soil, and raw sugar process and refining. As former District Manager for Florida congressman, Tom Lewis, where the Congressional District encompassed the heart of Florida's agricultural region including the Everglades Agricultural Area, David dealt directly with agricultural leaders and many of the state’s largest landowners. He graduated from Florida State University and received a Masters of Pubic Administration (MPA) degree from Nova University.
David Hitchcock is a thirty-year veteran of the Florida Agribusiness industry and has an excellent background in citrus, industrial, and agricultural businesses. David’s real estate specialties include Central and South Florida agricultural properties, agriculture transitional properties (transition-to-next-use) and land use issues. He graduated from the University of Florida where he was the Most Valuable Player and co-captain of the 1973 Gator Football Team.
